The longer form \*tiṅgaḷēr-taru\* has many variations and in fact it is seen to have gone through several editions, so to say, some giving more details of transactions only briefly mentioned in others.¹⁴ A few of the inscriptions of the later years mention fresh transactions not found in the earlier records;¹⁵ others simply repeat the older forms without making them up-to-date.
