Mention may also be made of collections of short stories the dates of which are not settled, but which came into existence about the sixteenth century—Baṭṭisa-puṭṭali-kathe, Bētāla-pañca-viṃśati-kathe in the three forms of Campū, tripadi and prose, Śuka-saptati, and so on. Tenāli-Rāmakṛṣṇa-kathe is a collection of funny anecdotes of the famous court jester of the court of Krishnadeva Rāya.
