The Buddhist Period, including the Campaigns of Alexander, and the Travels of Hwen-Thsang c4.34 - **Language:** English ### [c4.34](https://indike.org/pramana/ins.geography.cunningham-1871.c4.34) The names of the Nine Divisions given in the ‘Mahâbhârata’ and the Purânas differ entirely from those of Varâha-Mihira; but they agree with those of the famous astronomer Bhâskarâchârya.† They follow the same order in all; namely, Indra, Kaserumat, Tâmraparna, Gabhastimat, Kumârika, Nâga, Saumya Vâruna, Gándharva.
