The chaitya here mentioned is the Animisacetiya of the "Jātaka",¹ and the Animiṣalochana-chaitya of other books,² the Pu-shun-mu-t'a (不瞬目塔) or "Tope of unwinking eyes" of Chinese translation.³ This was the second of the Seven Places at which Buddha remained seven days on attaining bodhi, the place where, according to Fa-hsien, he "beholding the Tree experienced the joy of emancipation."
