⁶⁶⁸ It is surprising that in the two volumes of 'the History of philosophy, Eastern and Western, ' published under the auspices of the Govt of India (London, 1952), and compiled by an Editorial Board presided over by such a world-famous philosopher as Dr S Radhakrishnan, not a word is said about the conception of Time in the Vedic Literature and in the Vaiśeṣika and other systems and only a meagre account is given of the Buddhist and Jain ideas on the subject (vol I pp 159, 175-76 and p 144)
