Mahābh. The Mahā-Bhārata. Cited from the Bombay edition of 1863 (citations discussed by Adolf Holtzmann, Das Mahābhārata und seine Theile, vol. iv., pages 11 ff). A fairly considerable number of Vedic stanzas are quoted in the great Epic, and usually in a form at variance with the forms found in the Vedic Saṃhitās. Bhagavadgītā. The Bhagavad-Gītā. A few passages, corresponding with passages in the Upaniṣads treated in this Concordance, have been culled by me from Colonel George A. Jacob's Concordance to the principal Upaniṣads and the Bhagavadgītā, Bombay, 1891. Suparṇ. The Suparṇākhyāna. Issued as a Berlin Doctor's dissertation under the title Suparṇādhyāyaḥ. Auctor Elimar Grube. Berlin, 1875. The text is reprinted in Indische Studien, vol. xiv., pages 1 ff. It contains a few stanzas or pādas which are identical with passages in the ṚV. or AV. or similar to them; and such pādas have been incorporated in the Concordance. Mahābhāṣya. The Mahā-Bhāṣya. A single kārikā, to be found at vol. i., page 96, of Kielhorn's edition, is identical with a çloka occurring at GB. i. 1. 26.
