A bulla is a small circular tablet with a decorated design of geometric, floral, animal or human motif. Produced in clay from a mould, it has a loop or perforation, straight or tubular, for threading. Light in weight it is regarded as a pendant if it has a human motif. It seems to be a neck ornament.
