On the whole the mammalian assemblage from Langhnaj is typical of the one found on the plains of the Indian peninsula though several species have a restricted distribution. The fauna indicates that perennial water was available in Gujarat at the time of the Microlithic habitation of Langhnaj (Clutton-Brock, 1965).
