In Java (Indonesia) some people still use the Old-Javanese script. In Sumatra many scripts in use are of Indian origin. These are directly or indirectly originated from Old-Javanese. Among these Lampong and Redjang scripts of the Batak and Celebes script of the Turajas and other n.-e. tribes are worth mentioning.
