The early historical Pd II, \*c.\* 100 B.C. to A.D. 100, was characterized mainly by the early historical black-and-red ware and the absence of the NBPW. Pd III was evidenced by the occurrence on a large scale of the Red Polished Ware and typical terracottas of the early centuries of the Christian era. The final Pd saw the introduction of Islamic glazed pottery and late medieval antiquities.
