Besides CHANDRAKETUGARH the other explored early historical sites in the Bhagirathi delta include BORAL, HARINARAYANPUR, HARIPUR, DEULPOTA and ATGHARA, all in 24-Parganas. The antiquities reported from them include terracotta figurines, pottery, beads of semiprecious stones and other objects. At HARINARAYANPUR was found a sherd inscribed in characters of the 2nd century B.C., reading \*Mitra-dharma\*. The site has yielded the NBPW, punch-marked coins, Śuṅga-Kushan terracottas and other objects. Another site, Adi Saptagram, in Dt Hooghly, is noteworthy on account of the typical rouletted ware.
