No settlement of the early medieval period has so far been excavated and the only significant remains, exposed fully or partly, belong to three temples, two were at NAGAR¹ and one at MANDOR, besides traces of one single house at SAMBHAR. Of the temples at NAGAR¹, one is of stone and the other of brick. The former comprised a 16-sided \*garbha-gṛha\* with a \*pradakṣiṇa-patha\*, \*antarāla\* and \*sabhā-maṇḍapa\*.
