From a number of sites in n. India ornamental bricks including moulded ones have also been recovered. A significant feature of a Buddhist \*stūpa\* of the period is represented by a copper-plate bearing the text of the \*Nidāna-sūtra\* (in Sanskrit) enshrined within the Nirvāṇa Stūpa at KUŚĪNAGARA. Terracotta tablets with the same text are found at NĀLANDĀ \[12.8\].
