In s. Bihar the cultural remains of the Middle Palaeolithic man mainly come from BHIMBANDH and JAMALPUR, Dt Monghyr (Jayaswal, 1978). The collection contains scrapers, including side and end, denticulated tools and flakes obtained by the Levallois technique. All the specimens are made on quartzite nodules and have close typo-technological similarities with the BELAN group of industries.
