In Dt Cuddapah Pleistocene remains are confined to the banks of the Sagileru, a tributary of the Pennar (Reddy, 1968). The Vemula group of sites (Reddy, 1970) has yielded implements made of fine-grained quartzite. Scraper-point tradition here is found along with the earlier pebble tool tradition. It is interesting to note that though the chopper-chopping trend survived in the later phase the Acheulian tradition died out. Levallois and blade-detaching techniques were in existence.
