### [v1.c9.s6.16](https://indike.org/pramana/ins.reference.ghosh-1989.v1.c9.s6.16)

In the Chota Nagpur region, more particularly in Dt Mirzapur, many factory sites of the Mesolithic period have been located. At one of these (Allchin, 1966) a fragment of a Neolithic axe was also found upon the flaking floor, indicating that the site was used by the Neolithic people. Here therefore is a potential area for a multidisciplinary investigation of the problem. The potential may be in technology or in the pattern of migration from the plateau to the plains.
