Along with the human bones, those of animals, which were perhaps sacrificed in honour of the dead and flesh partaken in ritual feast, have been found buried in the same pit either at the same level or at a higher level. The animals represented are the dog, goat, etc. Sometimes these animal bones are also treated with a coat of red ochre.
