### [v1.c9.s7.32](https://indike.org/pramana/ins.reference.ghosh-1989.v1.c9.s7.32)

Numerous have been the theories on the authorship of the Hoards; they have been variously ascribed to Harappa refugees, Aryans and itinerant craftsmen. The question has been thoroughly examined by Lal (\*AI\*, 7, 1951, pp. 20-39), who comes to the conclusion that the Hoards were produced by the Mundas, Santhals and other tribes of the Proto-Australoid group of the Indian population.
