On another platform were encountered a well, a fire-altar as also a brick-lined pit containing bovine bones and antlers, the last named suggesting some kind of animal sacrifice. That the people of Kalibangan performed animal sacrifice is also indicated by the engravings on a triangular terracotta cake which shows, on one side, an animal drawn by a person with a rope and, on the other, a deity wearing a head-dress similar to that of the famous Śiva-Paśupati from Mohenjo-daro.
