House-plans revealed in the excavations show that the structures were either circular or rectangular on plan, the average dimensions of the former being 3 m in diameter and that of the latter 3·50 x 2·50 m. Wooden posts supported the roof and walls were made of a split bamboo screen plastered with mud. Inside the houses one- or two-mouthed \*chulhās\* and storage jars were found.
