Ṭaṅkitamañca.—A place near Gayā. It was the residence of the Yakkha Suciloma and the Buddha once stayed there.¹ The Sutta Nipāta Commentary² explains that Ṭaṅkitamañca was at Gayātittha, and that it was a stone-bed (\*pāsāṇamañca\*) formed by a stone set on the top of four other stones. The Saṃyutta Commentary³ says it was either a house (\*geha\*) so-formed, or a long bed made with supports inserted under the legs of the bedstead and placed in the temples of the gods.
