Dhanusekha (Dhanusekhavā).—Son of the cook of Queen Talaṭā. He was born on the same day as Cūḷani (\*q.v.\*), who was sent to the cook's house as a refuge from Chambhi. The two boys became playmates. When Cūḷani became king, Dhanusekhavā remained his constant companion, even visiting him unbidden, thus becoming a nuisance, as Cūḷani confessed to Bherī.¹
