Vācissara.\*\*—A monk of Ceylon, pupil of Sāriputta. Numerous works are assigned to him, among them commentaries on the various books of grammar: the Sambandhacintā-ṭīkā, the Subodhālaṅkāra-ṭīkā and the Vuttodayavivaraṇa.
