Vajji (Vajrin) Another name of indra Sakka(3) as explained by Abhayadeva.¹ In fact, Cellaṇā, the mother of Koṇia, hailed from the territory of Vajjigaṇa, and therefore she was known as Vajji. That is why Vajji is used as an epithet of Koṇia. Ceḍaga, the father of Cellaṇā, was the head of Vajjigaṇa. See Vajja(2).
