v1.c12.s2.1
At Harappa, excavation has revealed several rocks and stones which were to some extent special in this region. They are grey sandstone, short granite calf, red sandstone, grey granite and yellowish limestone. Querns which have been found in large numbers are of two kinds: footed and saddle. These are made mostly of sandstone of grey granite but sometimes of basalt. (MSV, 56-57, 69-74, 367)
