### Fragment of a Crucible

### [v1.c19.s6.t7.1](https://indike.org/pramana/ins.science.biswas-1996.v1.c19.s6.t7.1)

The crucible piece was examined under a microscope and the contained matter was chemically analysed. On one side of the piece a glassy slag like material was sticking. The material used for the crucible is refractory in nature made mostly from sand and clay. It could withstand high temperatures. It is difficult to say for what purpose this was used.
