Ekāmranātha was the author of the Āyurvedasudhanidhi,356 sometimes ascribed to Sāyana,357 but actually written at the request of the latter,358 which means that it dates from the fourteenth century. The work is referred to in Sāyaṇa’s Alaṃkārasudhānidhi.³⁵⁹

Ekāmranātha, of Kāśyapagotra, is described as the father of Kāmeśanātha and the maternal grandfather of Śrīśailanātha, who wrote the Praśnottaramālā.³⁶⁰
