Śaṃkara, whose full name was Plāntōl Śaṅkaran Mūs, wrote the Nidānapradīpa, described as a work on the diagnosis of various ailments found scattered in Vāgbhaṭa's Aṣṭāṅgahṛdayasaṃhitā.³³⁶ Another work by the same author is the Lalitā commentary on the Aṣṭāṅgahṛdayasaṃhitā.³³⁷
