AKETASIṂHA (\*ca.\* 1250?) An astrologer quoted in the \*Jyotiṣatattvakaumudī\*, a work written by the son of Śrīnivāsa Miśra—perhaps the Śrīnivāsa who flourished in Mysore in the second half of the thirteenth century. Aketasiṃha’s name occurs at the end of a list which includes Śrīpati (\*fl. ca.\* 1040), Bhāskara (b. 1114), and Śrīnivāsa himself.
