In 1167, during the reign of the Caulukya Kumārapāla (ca. 1143–1172), at Campāvatī (presumably Chātsu south of Jayapura in Rājasthān rather than Chaul south of Bombay in the Koṅkaṇa), a Jaina of the Kāśahradagaccha, Naracandropādhyāya⁵⁷ wrote a Beḍājātaka,⁵⁸ which is a \*vṛtti\* in verse on his own Janmasamudra. In eight \*kallolas\* it treats the astrology of conception, birth, congenital faults, death, \*rājayogas\*, other \*yogas\*, and \*strījātaka\*.
