The mature woman (pragalbhā) has attained confidence, skilled in all manners of lovemaking, / thoroughly mastering her lover, with radiant amorous graces:
'Taking this very lotus-fiber vine, my beloved makes / a necklace on my breast that has the luster of fresh pearls; / and this is that bandhūka blossom which, crushed when he parted my hair, / will bear the splendor of an arrow of the god of the flower-bow who longs to conquer every quarter.'
'Where sandalwood is washed away by heavy, agitated drops of sweat, / where the jingle of anklets is concealed by spontaneous moans, / and where all senses immediately attain total absorption in that alone— / that, friends, I call lovemaking for pleasure; all the rest is just social custom.'
'Master, make my curls wavy! Charming lover, place the mark upon my forehead! / Lord of my life, string again the necklace broken on the slope of my breasts!' / Having said this, happy at the end of lovemaking, her face a full moon, / touched by him saying 'So be it,' her hairs bristling with joy, she again swooned with passion.
With sweet words, knitted brows, threatening gestures of her finger, / with lazy, curving movements of her limbs that are companions to great festivities, / and with wide, expansive sidelong glances again and again, / she aids the five-arrowed god in conquering the three worlds.
