The middle heroine pierces him sarcastically with polite words; / the non-self-controlled heroine strikes her beloved with harsh rebukes:
'Enough with false prattle! Stop, wanton lover! It has long been known. / Go openly to that very beloved, by whose nail-marks / and passionate charms a place was won in your heart. / What use have you for me, who am devoted solely to straightforward conduct?'
'You certainly looked upon her!'—so saying, tightly binding him with the garland of her arms, / and rebuking her beloved again and again with 'Rogue, you will see her again!', / right in front of her friends, as he tried to deny it, out of anger / the proud lady turned her lover into an aśoka tree with the stroke of her foot, jingling with anklets.
