14.74

yathā uddhava-sandeśe (50)-
nirmāya tvaṃ vitara phalakam hāri kaṃsārimūrtyā
vāraṃ vāraṃ diśasi yadi māṃ mānanirvāhanāya |
yat paśyantī bhavanakuhare ruddhakarṇāntarāhaṃ
sāhaṃkārā priyasakhi sukham yāpayiṣyāmi yāmam //

As in the Uddhava-sandeśa (50): / 'If you repeatedly direct me to sustain amorous indignation, / having made an attractive picture-board with the form of Kaṃsa's foe, give it [to me], / looking at which inside the palace, with my inner ears blocked, / full of pride, dear friend, I shall happily pass the watch of the night.'
