yathā lalita-mādhave (6.14)-
gopīnāṃ paśupendra-nandana-juṣo bhāvasya kas tāṃ krtī
vijñātuṃ kṣamate durūha-padavī-sañcāriṇaḥ prakriyām |
āviṣkurvati vaiṣṇavīm api tanuṃ tasmin bhujair jiṣṇubhi*
ryāsāṃ hanta caturbhir adbhuta-ruciṃ rāgodayaḥ kuñcati //

As in the Lalitamādhava (6.14):
“What capable person has the power to comprehend the course of that feeling
of the gopīs devoted to the son of the king of cowherds, moving upon an unfathomable path?
Even when he displays his Viṣṇu-form with four victorious arms, alas,
their arising passion, possessing wonderful radiance, shrinks back.”
