athāvasthāṣṭakaṃ sarva-nāyikānāṃ nigadyate |
tatrābhisārikā vāsa-sajjā cotkaṇṭhitā tathā //

Now the eight emotional states of all heroines are described:
Among them, the heroine going to meet her lover (abhisārikā), the heroine waiting prepared (vāsaka-sajjā), and the heroine distressed by absence (utkaṇṭhitā);
