ābhīrādigiraḥ kāvyeṣv apabhraṃśa iti smṛtāḥ &
śāstreṣu saṃskṛtād anyad apabhraṃśatayoditam //
The speeches of the Ābhīras and others in poems are remembered as Apabhraṃśa; / in the treatises, whatever is other than Sanskrit is spoken of as Apabhraṃśa.
