ityanaṅgajayāyogabuddhir hetubalād iha &
pravṛttaiva yad ākṣiptā vṛttākṣepaḥ sa īdṛśaḥ //
Since here the notion of the impossibility of Love’s victory, / once arisen, is refuted by the force of a reason, such is refutation of the past (vṛttākṣepa).
