jyeṣṭhā kaniṣṭhā nikaṭe tatpradeśinyanāmikā |
bāhvośca prasṛtāṅgulyorantaraṃ vyāma ucyate ||
The largest [finger] is the middle, next to the little finger is the ring finger (anāmikā), and index is the pradeśinī; / the span between the outstretched arms with fingers extended is called a vyāma. // 26
