daśarūpānukāreṇa mādyanti bhāvakaḥ /
namaḥ sarvavide tasmai viṣṇave bharatāya ca //

‘Homage to that omniscient Viṣṇu whose senses revel in the semblance of his ten forms [of incarnation], and to Bharata, whose poetic sensibilities revel in the imitation of the ten forms [of drama] (daśarūpa).’
