kṛtānta-jihvā-kuṭilāṃ kṛpāṇīṃ
dṛṣṭvā yadīyāṃ trasatām arīṇām |
svedodayaś cetasi saṃcitānāṃ
mānoṣmaṇām ātanute praśāntim ||
Seeing his scimitar, curved like the tongue of the Lord of Death, / the sudden breaking out of sweat brings calm / to the heat of accumulated pride in the hearts of his terrified enemies.
