sa-vrīḍa-surata-prayatanaṃ, yathā-
autsukyena kṛtatvarā sahabhuvā vyāvartamānā hriyā
tais tair bandhu-vadhū-janasya vacanair nītābhimukhyaṃ punaḥ |
dṛṣṭvāgre varam ātta-sādhvasa-rasā gaurī nave saṅgame
saṃrohat-pulakā hareṇa hasatā śliṣṭā śivāyāstu vaḥ ||
[Her] modest endeavor during lovemaking, for example:
“Hastened by eagerness, yet turning back out of innate modesty,
brought face-to-face once more by the various words of the kinsmen's wives,
seeing the bridegroom before her, tasting the flavor of fear at the new union,
her hair bristling with horripilation, may Gaurī, embraced by the smiling Hara, be for your blessing!”
