jaladāravasya, yathā-
manasvinīnāṃ manaso' pi mānas
tathāpanīto ghana-garjitena |
yathopagūḍhāḥ prathitāgaso' pi
kṣaṇaṃ vidagdhāḥ kupitā ivāsan ||
[An example] of the rumbling of rain clouds:
"By the rumbling of the cloud, even the injured pride from the minds of high-spirited women
was so dispelled
that, embraced [by them], the clever lovers, though their offenses were well known,
became as if they were the angry ones for a moment."
