dhīra-dṛṣṭir, yathā-
tat gambhīraṃ vinivartitena
prabhāta-paṅkeruha-bandhureṇa |
apaśyad akṣṇā madhumātmajanmā
pratyābabhāṣe sa ca daitya-dūtam ||

Resolute gaze, as in:
“With an eye turned deeply inward,
charming like a morning lotus,
the slayer of Madhu looked upon and addressed
the messenger of the Daitya.”
