By costume, as:
'May Ambikā's face grant you good fortune—
at the taking of hands with the Trident-bearer, terrified by his serpent-bracelet,
her glance confounded, smiling with half-uttered words:
"Homage to Śiva!" as she hastily bows.'

(rasa-kalikāyām apy uddhṛtam idam, 23 puṭe)
(This is also quoted in the Rasakalikā, page 23.)
1.497.p2
atra bhujaga-kaṅkaṇa-lakṣaṇena veṣeṇa janitasya pārvatī-bhaya-hāsyāsya śṛṅgārāṅgatayā kathanāt tad idam aṅgaṃ bhaya-hāsyajam |
Here, since the fear and laughter of Pārvatī produced by the costume characterised by the serpent-bracelet is stated as subordinate to the erotic sentiment, this is the subordinate [variety] arising from fear and laughter.
