mayena nirmitāṃ laṅkāṃ labdhvā mandodarīm api |
reme mūrtāṃ daśagrīva-lakṣmīm iva vibhīṣaṇaḥ ||

'Having obtained Laṅkā built by Maya, and even Mandodarī,
Vibhīṣaṇa took delight, as if in the incarnate fortune of the Ten-necked one.'

atra rāvaṇe vipanne tat-padābhiṣiktena vibhīṣaṇena mandodaryādiṣu tad ucitaṃ karma nirmitam ity ayaṃ narma-garbhaḥ | kecit tv etad ārabhaṭī-bhedaṃ saṅkṣiptim āhuḥ | tatra mūlaṃ na jānīmaḥ |

Here, when Rāvaṇa perished, Vibhīṣaṇa, consecrated in his position, performed the deeds appropriate to that regarding Mandodarī and others; hence this is concealed pleasantry. Some, however, call this condensation (saṅkṣipti), a variety of the violent style (ārabhaṭī). On that point, we do not know the source.
