ātapena, yathā-
dhūtānām abhimukha-pātibhiḥ samīrair
āyāsād aviśad alocanotpalānām |
āninye mada-janitāṃ śriyaṃ vadhūnām
uṣṇāṃśu-dyuti-janitaḥ kapola-rāgaḥ ||
[Caused] by heat, as in:
“Brought to agitation by headwinds falling directly against them,
the redness of the cheeks, caused by the glow of the hot-rayed sun,
imparted to the young women, whose lotus-eyes were dim from fatigue,
a loveliness born of intoxication.”
