sauhityaṃ bhojanādi-tṛptiḥ, tena yathā-
trailokyābhaya-lagnakena bhavatā vīreṇa vismāritas
taj-jīmūta-muhūrta-maṇḍana-dhanuḥ-pāṇḍityam ākhaṇḍalaḥ |
kiṃ cājasra-makhārpitena haviṣā samphulla-māṃsollasat
sarvāṅgīṇa-balī-vilupta-nayana-vyūhaḥ kathaṃ vartate ||
Fullness is satiety from eating and so on; from this, as [in this verse]:
By you, the heroic surety for the safety of the three worlds,
Indra has been made to forget his skill with the bow that adorns the clouds for a moment;
moreover, with the oblation incessantly offered in sacrifices,
his host of eyes obscured by rolls of fat blossoming over all his limbs from flourishing flesh,
how does he fare?
2.125.p1
(a.rā. 1.28)
atra mando-vṛddhyā śakrasya sauhityam | tat-kṛtam ālasyaṃ kathaṃ vartate ity anena vāg-ārambheṇa vyajyate |
(Anargharāghava 1.28)
Here, Indra's satiety is due to the increase of fat; the indolence caused by that is revealed by this speech, ‘how does he fare?’
