tatra adhikṣepād, yathā-
iti bhīṣma-bhāṣita-vaco' rtham
adhigatavatām iva kṣaṇāt |
kṣobham agamad atimātram
atho śiśupāla-pakṣa-pṛthivī-bhṛtāṃ gaṇaḥ ||
There, from an insult, as in:
"As if having grasped in an instant the meaning of the words spoken by Bhīṣma, / the host of kings belonging to the faction of Śiśupāla / immediately fell into extreme agitation."
