yathā mamaiva-
aśrānta-kaṇṭhakodgamam anavarata-svedam aviratotkampam |
aniśa-mukulitāpāṅgaṃ mithunaṃ kalayāmi tad-avinābhūtam ||
As in my own verse:
'With their hair unceasingly bristling, with continuous perspiration, with unremitting trembling,
their eye-corners ever closed like buds, I contemplate that inseparable couple.'
2.280.p1
atra pārvatī-parameśvarayo ratiḥ śarīraikya-sambandhena yāvad-āśraya-vṛttiḥ anubhūta-sarva-rāgopaplavatayā sva-saṃvedya-daśā-prakāśita-nitya-bhoga-rūpā aśrānta-romāñcādibhir anubhāvair vyajyate |
Here, the sexual love between Pārvatī and the Supreme Lord endures as long as its substrate exists through the connection of bodily union, has the form of eternal enjoyment manifested in a state self-experienced by transcending all afflictions of passion, and is revealed through consequents such as unceasing horripilation and the like.
2.280.p2
anye prītiṃ rater bhedm āmananti na tan-matam | 123
Others consider affection to be a division of sexual love; that view is not accepted. (123)
2.280.p3
asamprayoga-viṣayā seyaṃ harṣān na bhidyate ||280||
For this [affection], having non-union as its object, is not distinct from joy. [280]
