2.80

ketūdayād, yathā-
hantālokya kuṭumbino diviṣadāṃ dhūma-grahaṃ diṅ-mukhe
trastāṅgās tvaritaṃ paraspara-gṛhān abhyetya cintā-parāḥ |
dhānyānām anativyayāya gṛhiṇīr ājñāpayantyo muhur
nidhyāyanti viniḥśvasanti gaṇaśo rathyā-mukheṣv āsate ||

From the appearance of a comet, as in:
“Alas! Seeing the smoke-comet at the quarter's horizon, the householders among the celestials,
their limbs trembling, quickly go to one another's houses, full of anxiety;
commanding their wives repeatedly not to spend grain excessively,
they stare fixedly, sigh deeply, and sit in groups at the heads of the streets.”
